Born June 9, 1932, in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Giocondo and Maria (Mazzaferri) Sidone. Minnie was a member of St. Thomas a' Becket Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills and retired as a sales associate for Macy's Department Store in Century lll Mall. Minnie's family was always the most important thing to her. She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Robert D. Ward; daughter, Catherine M. (James) Lockard of Harrison City; son, Robert A. (Jolene) Ward of Bethel Park; grandchildren, Jacob, Kaelyn and Nathan Ward, Ryan and Lauren Lockard; sister, Yolanda "Lundie" (Al) Thomas of Scott Twp.; and many nieces and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Stehney, Lisa Persichetti and Victor and Arthur Sidone. Friends will be received in the A.J. TEPLITZ IRIS (KIMBALL) Age 84, on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Beloved wife of Philip Teplitz; beloved mother of Lee Teplitz, Jonathan (Kathryne) Teplitz and Paul Teplitz; sister of the late William (late Betty) Kimball; Nana of Alexandra and Charlotte Teplitz. Also survived by nephews. Iris received her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After teaching at the Falk School, Iris moved to New York City and taught third grade in Scarsdale, New York. She was a member of Baldoc Country Club, Duquesne Country Club and Westmoreland Country Club. Iris was a club champion at all three clubs. She competed in several Women's U.S. Opens and played in the Women's British Open in Harlech, Wales on her honeymoon. She was written up in Sports Illustrated in 1958 as one of the upcoming young golfers. She was selected to compete in the Maccabiah Games in Israel in 1977. She was elected to the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. She married Philip in 1960 and went to work with Philip and George Teplitz, her brother-in-law, at Finleyville Furniture, Ethan Allen and La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries as a Vice President and buyer of accessories. She was widely respected in the home furnishings industry. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and the Ladies Hospital Aid Society. She was a true inspiration to their three sons and two granddaughters. TASSONE FRANCES M. Age 93, of Moon Twp., passed away June 18, 2016, at West Hills Health & Rehab. Frances was born in Coraopolis, PA April 10, 1923, to the late Inez Tucker and Alexander Angelo. She was a resident of Moon Twp. since 1954. Frances was a member of Our Lady of Fatima, had worked at the Crest Mini Mart in Hopewell for six years retiring in 1985, she also had worked at National Gas, Standard Steel & Spring also Bell Telephone. She loved working in her garden and had a green thumb when it came to her flowers she also was a great cook. Surviving her are her loving children, James Tassone, Raccoon Twp., Greg (Susan) Tassone, Crestkill, NJ, Brian (Kim) Tassone, Moon Twp.; three grandchildren, Jason, Lexi and Dylan; two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Merissa; a sister, Dolores McHaffie, Moon Twp. Frances was predeceased by her husband, James Vincent Tassone in 1979; a sister, Thelma Weaver; four brothers, Paul, Ralph, Joseph and Harry Angelo. LANDMAN TRACY LAMAR Age 76, of Guys Mills, passed away June 18, 2016, at home. Tracy was born in Dunbar, on June 26, 1939, a son of the late Elmer Landman and Hazel (Gordon) Polito. He attended Allegheny High School, became a veteran of the US Navy, and was a hard worker throughout his life. Most notably, he worked for Snap On Tools and Meridian Bank in Reading, PA, Continental Can in Pittsburgh, and during his later years the office building of Neville Island Chemical Company in the Housekeeping Department. Tracy was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a fiercely loyal person, easy to talk to, sensitive, and accepting of people for who they were. He enjoyed listening to Coast to Coast Radio with George Noory and Doo Wop music, especially Jackie Wilson. He had a special interest in all things extraterrestrial. He got a kick out of ordering things from QVC and Ebay. Most of all, he was extremely proud of his children. Tracy is survived by three children, Meggan Sivik and wife, Amy Steele, of Palmyra, Cortney Landman and her partner, Adam Hails, of Birdsboro, Traci Smith and her partner, Susan Noll, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren, Ayden Sivik, Adelyn Sivik, Ellesyn Sivik, Emersyn Sivik, Portland Kelly, Aloe Hails; a sister, Victoria A. Moser of Guys Mills who loved to "torture" him and with whom he lived; four brothers, Barry Landman, of McKees Rocks, Victor Polito and his wife, Autumn, of Cranberry Twp., Jack Polito and his wife, Diane, of McKees Rocks, Danny Polito and his partner, Ken Sweeny, of Pittsburgh; many nieces, nephews and his faithful companion, Buddha, his cat. In addition to his parents, Tracy was preceded in death by four sisters, Sandy Lovelace, Connie Jost, Stephie Judge and Debbie Biddle. Services will be private and held at the convenience of family. GANT BARBARA M. Age 72, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016. Barbara was born in Oak Park, Illinois and grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois, daughter of the late William and Renata Murphy. She graduated from the University of Iowa where she was a cheerleader and a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. Following college, Barbara began working briefly as a Jr. High School English Teacher and then went on to become the first female sales representative with U.S. Steel Corp., Chemical Division. Most recently, Barbara had worked in medical transcriptions with both Med Trans and Mt. Carmel. Barbara was a loving, outgoing, and entertaining woman. She was a member of AA and enjoyed gardening, reading, and helping others. Most of all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Roger Gant; daughter, Stefanie (Demian) Phillips; grandson, Liam Michael Phillips; sister, Patricia A. Murphy (James W.) DeArmond; niece, Joy C. DeArmond (Kevin M.) Kennedy and their children, Kaitlyn E. and Christian M. Kennedy; nephew, J. Christopher DeArmond and his son, Ian DeArmond; cousin, Janet H.
